Can-AM 800XT 2007/05/06 22:35 Karma: 1
Well I thought I posted in here but I do not see it so either did not or something.....

Got my new 2007 Can-Am 800 XT couple weeks ago and I have to saying it is fantastic... I mean rather FANTASTIC!!!

Own 2006 Honda Forman 500, 2006 Honda Rancher 400, 2006 Yamaha Grizzly 660 and the 2007 Can-Am 800XT. This thing will just blow all the others away, speed, torque, 4 wheeling just everthing... Admit was a bit sceptical before I bought it but to date am 100% pleased with it.

My wife now runs the Grizzly, was mine. She is somewhat scared of the Can-Am as just to much for her. There is no, 0 throttle lag,. When you thumb it it goes and will rasie your butt off of the ground..

Friend has a 400R, raced him. Now he caught me after a bit but for about 1/8 mile I was blowing him away. At 74 mph had to let off due to the mud tires just bouncing me all over. But it was fun enough to shut him up about his bike Laughing .

Never been to St Joe park, if all goes well wife, I and couple others coming up next Sat the 28th so will see how it is there. Going to Fingerlakes Friday 1st.... Very Happy

Hope this Forum takes hold, would love to hear locals in here....

well oldgoat, you picked a good weekend to go to st. joe. thats the weekend of the vintage motorycycle races. should be pretty neat. and they still will have the riding park open. you will have to let me know how the finger lake trip goes, never been there yet.

take it easy

Yes there is a track, not maintained to well unless there is a race coming up..

How is Fingerlakes, hmmm, can be hard, can be demanding and can be dangerous. In short Fingerlakes is a old strip pit mining area. Not very well maintained so ruts can be a concern. Along with heavy mud/clay. Biggest concerns is you just do not go up a hill with out knowing what is on the other side. They tend to end at the top and the pits start so got to be careful. Also what may look llike a mud hole can be VERY deep.....

Look wise though it is a beautiful place, good scenery, camping if needed and all. I do like the place just like other riding areas wish it was better maintained. Deepwater and Fingerlakes only about 45 minutes from my house so they are the frequented spots of choice....

Hopefully sometime in near future plan on a purchase of some old bottom or Ozark land of around 200 acres hopefully joinning corp land. Then will make my own place to my liking. That I cannot wait to do..... Very Happy

You should join FLORA (Finger Lakes Off-Road Riders Association), they are a group that is working to make FLSP a better place to ride, by doing trail maintenance and work.
