Busted by the Police 2007/06/21 19:31 Karma: 1
So I decided yesterday to take a nice little ride on my YFZ450 in the city limits of pevely, mo. About 15 minutes later i was pulled over by Mr. Long Pevely Police officer. Lets just say I was screwed. Everything that could go wrong did, i was pulled over because i didn't have equilateral slow moving triangle mounted on my bike, I had the 6ft orange flag but that isn't the same thing. Why the hell i took that triangle off, stupid stupid.

First problem!

Officer ask me for my insurance, pull out the slip and it shows expired jun 10th. Darn it. I have paid for the new insurance but didn't have the insurance paper with me.

Second problem!

Officer ask me for my riding permit, pulled it out, expired jan 1st 2007. Shit!

Third problem!

Officer ask me for my driving liscense, since when do you need driving liscense for four wheeler. Well didn't have that either.

Fourth problem!

That was pretty much it, stuff started going my way and thank goodness officer was a nice guy. He decided to only write me a ticket for the triangle, thank you!

Lesson learned..

When dealing with the police honesty will always pay off. I told him everything and I wasn't upset about none of it. I even had a copy of the rules for riding under my four wheeler seat, which i should have read more closely. He told me all I needed to do was get the paperwork updated, and thats why he let me off with a ticket for the triangle. Thank god, that could have been a crap load of tickets!

That was my day, how was yours!
