Just wondering on the 'camping' at St. Joe. A few of us will be making a trip from NE end of next month. Is it necessary to make reservations at the 'basic' camp sites? (We will be arriving on a thursday) or will we be ok since we'll be arriving early? Also, will one camp site be enough? (not sure how big the sites are)We'll have two tents and two trucks with atv trailers (and 5 quads). Just curious if two sites would be better.
Is the 'fee' $9 per site, per day, or is that per person?

I believe all campsites at St. Joe you have to call to reserve, this place is always packed because it has probably the best campgrounds in the state, everything is black topped in a wooded area, with nice facilities.

The best thing to do is call the park office at (573) 431-1069, ask about reservations and pricing. I don't usually post this info on the site, because I never know when it may change since I am not directly associated with them. I just provide the site for riders and for most of all FUN.

Hope this helps.. I think you will enjoy your visit, and if you prefer extremely challenging trails, check out Chadwick Riding Area in Southwestern Missouri. Its a lot bigger than St. Joe's 2000 acres.
