STYLES OF RIDERS - PART 2
Written by Ben McCune
Saturday, 22 September 2007

There are as many styles of riding as there are people but I have found that it boils down to just a few categories of which I place them as follows: 1) The Fearless (Large amount of airspace in the skull) 2) The Pro (Air Space has been limited by numerous head bashings) 3) The Adventurer (Does not like jumping due to danger but climbs vertical rock faces as well as descends them) 4) The Leader Of The Pack (Thinks they want to Jump and Climb but usually gets in trouble doing both ..... ME!) 5) The Follower (This is the person that always gets in trouble as they tend to follow the leader) 6) The Novice (The smartest one of us all to be explained later)

ST. JOE STATE PARK UNDER FIRE FROM THE EPA!
Written by Garry Horn
Sunday, 16 September 2007

We must ALL act NOW!! The EPA wants all riding and any other activities stopped on the tailings area [sand flats] and also the 2 swimming beaches as well. We need to sign the letters we are sending to our gov't. officials and let them know how we feel. If you don't tell our people in government how you feel, how will the let the EPA know we are not happy with them sticking there noses in where it doesn't belong. The DNR did a "Health Risk Assessment" study in 2003, and guess who signed off on it and gave the park a GREEN light for usage by people like you and I using the park? Can we say EPA!! We need you, the people who use and pay for the park, to tell our officials we don't need the EPA to Make another "Times Beach"out of St. Joe Park. The EPA has done a lot of good things for us, but this is not one that they need to waste our tax dollars on. They need to stand at the waters edge and stop the leaded imported products that are sold to us and used by our children, now that's a real LEAD issue. Thanks, Our email for more info or contact info is: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , our web site is: savestjoestatepark.com. We have a letter that we ALL need to send to the gov't officals and let them know how we all feel about taking away more of our limited riding areas. I have talked with DNR people and local gov't officals from the St Joe area and the senators, state reps and our federal people and most are very upset over EPA's plan. So we need to show our support and send the letters in, so they can show them that THERE people have spoken. Thanks, Garry "savestjoestatepark"...

Hello everyone and welcome to our new site for www.stjoepark.com.  We have been working on it for a few weeks and have most of the bugs fixed, and will continue to add more changes to it as time allows.  If you are experiencing any problems, please let us know.  And if you have some ideas and would like to add stuff to the site, share your ideas with us.  As for the site, we are planning on turning it into a news portal where you can find information about ATVing, Camping, Fishing, Swimming, and Bicycling for St. Joe and all other parks in the United States.  Lately our site has become increasingly popular on www.top100atvquadsites.com.  And we hope to maintain that success as we grow into the future.  Thanks for visiting and we hope you enjoy the site!!!

First off it is not my intention to undermine or enhance anyone or any riding style. These thoughts are mine and mine alone. Let me start by saying this is Part 1 of a 2 part article of things I have encountered, been apart of and observed while riding with my 3 closest friends, my wife Linda, my brother-in-law Jimmie his wife my sister-in-law Vicki. The second to be published in a few weeks.
